March 2012 Desktop Calendar

I have always admired the desktop calendars that Clotilde at Chocolate and Zucchini has offered.  This year, MyNeChimKi's Genealogical Services will offer a set as well!  And to go hand-in-hand with all the hype surrounding the release of the 1940 Census in April, our desktop calendars will all have a 1940 Census theme.

The release of the 1940 U.S. Census is just around the corner. We all know that there will be challenges in the beginning since an every-name index won't be available for some time. But you can certainly help out! 1940 US Census Community Project, in part sponsored by FamilySearch, is recruiting indexers now! You don't have to have any special credentials or any previous experience to help with this great project. All you need to get started is a FamilySearch account (free) and their indexing software (also free!). Once the census is release you can download batches and index away!
